This project is part of an ongoing exploration into the relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence.
It started with a simple idea: The Future is a Key.

Laurie Anderson once said, “Language is a virus.” And maybe AI is, too—replicating, mutating, adapting to its host. This piece grew from that idea, inspired by Anderson’s ability to find the hidden hinges between logic and poetry, between sound and meaning. Like her work, it plays with expectation, rhythm, and the strange echoes between words that change their shape when spoken aloud.
And so, this piece took shape—not as something entirely human, nor entirely machine-made, but as a collaboration between the two.
How It Came Together
🛠️ AI-Generated Text: The core of this piece was developed with AI assistance—an experiment in how machines process, predict, and even shape human expression. AI writes. AI rights. AI rewrites. But in doing so, AI also makes editorial choices, raising important questions about authorship, intent, and influence.
🎙️ Voice & Production: The voice narration was produced using Artlist.io, further blurring the lines between human and machine. A voice that was never spoken into a microphone—does it still count as a voice? If no one breathes into a word, is it still language?
🎼 Music: The soundscape, Everlasting Flower was created by DaniHaDani from Artlist.io, integrates human emotion with digital precision. Music has always been an act of interpretation. What happens when that interpretation is entirely computational? Or when the machine finds a note we didn’t even know was there?
🎞️ Editing & Refinement: The final assembly and post-production were completed in Camtasia, reinforcing the reality that human oversight remains a critical part of AI-assisted creativity—for now.
The Bigger Picture
Laurie Anderson’s work teaches us that meaning is slippery, that technology is both a mirror and a trickster. As AI systems continue to evolve, their role in communication becomes more complex. They don’t just process language; they anticipate meaning. They don’t just generate text; they influence narratives.
